Cleanse & Revitalise

Body & Mind

Hot Hatha

Hot Room (37°)

Postures are taught in a sequence with breath awareness to facilitate a complete workout from the inside-out by targeting all the major systems of the body – Receiving a deeper cleanse and weight loss! The heat will provide impetus to build cardiovascular strength, physical and mental strength.

Warm Hatha

Warm Room (30°)

This class is practiced in lower heat – still warming your muscles, stretching the muscle fibres, ligaments and tendons, but without the cardiovascular work. The emphasis is more on the inner body – fusing the sequence with some yin postures to target the deeper connective tissues that help to lubricate our joints and improve circulation.

Kundalini Yoga

Warm Room (30°)

In Kundalini yoga, you will develop awareness, where you experience your practice, your body in a deeper, more transformative way. We are sensory beings and all we create, we create through our awareness and as we develop this by being present to our senses and learning how to use our energy- we become aware of our inner power and we connect with our intuition, our soul. Your soul is within your heart. You will focus on strengthening the mind/mental, the physical body and the nervous system by combining postures, breath, mudras, bandah’s (locks in the body) and mantras in meditation.

Yin Yoga

Room Temperature

Yin yoga is a practice designed to develop softness, stillness and steadiness by holding poses for an extended period of time (2-5 minutes) We use the natural body weight and natural gravity of the earth to move deeper, beyond the superficial layers of the muscles and target the deeper connective tissues that both support the structure of our bodies as well as improve our ease of movement. Yin yoga invites us to explore where resistance arises. This resistance could be physical, emotional or psychological. Therefore, we start to become more aware, more conscious to honour our deeper feelings and emotions as they affect our state of wellbeing.

Restorative Yoga

Room Temperature

Join us for a deeply relaxing and restorative movement and meditation. During this class we will use props including bolsters and blocks to support gentle 4-6 minute passive stretches to achieve ultimate comfort. When the body is in a total state of comfort, we can surrender deeper into poses, releasing bodily tensions and ultimately calm the nervous system, tuning into the parasympathetic tone – our systems rest and digest response. We tend to be so overstimulated in our day to day busy lives and the slow meditative pace of restorative yoga, enables us to decompress and come home to our breath, body and the present moment.

Why is the room heated?

The room is intentionally heated to warm your muscles – allowing you to work more deeply and safely. The heat also facilitates healing, helps prevent injuries, and promotes sweating, which helps flush toxins from your body.

Yes, and Yes! No matter what your level of fitness, you’ll find our Hot Hatha and Hatha Flow classes fused with Infrared heat, very effective. Each posture combines flexibility, strength and balance to work your whole body – from your bones out to your pores.

With persistence, patience, dedication and commitment, you can lose inches and develop muscle tone and strength that you can maintain – that might never come from other forms of exercise.

What is infrared heat? What are the benefits?

Infrared heat is now commonly used in medical care equipment such as heat lamps and baby incubators.

This a very therapeutic heat – the light waves reach deep inside the body’s tissue, and cellular vibration occurs, penetrating the cells and resulting in release of toxins.

Infrared heat benefits: pain relief – weight loss – improves blood circulation – removes cholesterol – boosts the immune system – speeds healing to cuts & bruises – reduces stress & fatigue – reduces muscle spasms as muscle fibres are heated.

What if I'm not flexible?

This is the most common misconception that stops people from coming to a yoga class. Yoga is not about how flexible you are, it’s about improving your strength and flexibly – so you can maintain a strong body, healthy spine and a happy heart.

All that matters is that you try and with patience, persistence and regular practice, your flexibility will improve.

What if I have injuries or illness?

Please let us know if you’ve recently had surgery, or have any injuries, illnesses, or special conditions. Yoga and the Infrared Heat facilitates the healing process – both internally and externally.

You will still be able to do most yoga postures, but the teacher will show you some modifications to help heal and prevent further injures.

How often can I come?

Come as often as you can. The more you come, on regular bases, the quicker you’ll see results. We’ve got a feeling you’ll find yourself wanting to practice fairly frequently. Why? Because it’s so good for you, it’s fun, you’ll feel amazing and it works!

Even if it feels challenging for you initially, regular practice, your patience and persistence will pay off.

Can I still practice when I'm pregnant?

Absolutely! Practicing yoga and meditation will facilitate an easier pregnancy and birthing experience.

The general rule in your practice, pregnant or not, is to understand what your limits are, at any given moment, and never push yourself beyond them.

You must always give your body time to invite you in! We will guide you through modifications and specific poses that will make practicing while pregnant joyful and safe.

Will doing yoga while pregnant be difficult?

Usually, the first three months of a pregnancy are the hardest, as that’s the time when most hormonal changes occur.

This is when many women may feel nausea and have much less energy. So for some – it would be better to take it easier, practice a little bit less, or skip the first trimester entirely – And when you do practice, you must not feel bad about sitting down when you need to.
